Who we are

umniah.org is run by Carrier Grade Inc., Miami, Florida, USA. This page explains what the site collects and what we do with it. To reach us, use the contact form.

What we collect, and why

The waitlist: your email address and the language of the page you signed up on. We use it only to send you the parent guides and news about Peeryn's tools for young children.

The parent pledge: which promises you chose, the page's language, and the country your connection came from, as reported by our host. No name and no email. We use it to show how many parents have pledged and which promises people find realistic.

The family wish jar: the name you give the jar, the wishes, and any “from” names you type. Anyone who has the jar's link can read and change it, so share it only with family, and please don't put addresses, phone numbers or other private details in it. To limit abuse, when you make a jar we keep a one-way scrambled version of your internet address (not the address itself) for about an hour.

The contact form: the name (if you give one), email address, topic and message you send. We use them to reply.

The family plan builder and the idea picker run entirely in your browser. Your choices are not sent to us; the plan builder remembers them on your own device so you can come back to it.

What we don't do

No cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no selling or renting of anything you give us. Wish text is never shown on our own statistics page.

Children

Umniah is for parents. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and nothing on the site asks for any. A family may write wishes together with their children; that's the point of the jar, but keep it to first names.

Who else is involved

Cloudflare hosts the site and its database, and processes every request to deliver it. Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so your browser asks Google for them when a page loads. When we email the waitlist, we'll do it through an email provider, and only for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Waitlist emails and contact messages: until you ask us to remove them, or until we close the list. Pledges: kept, since they carry no name or email. Wish jars: until you delete the jar, which you can do from the jar's own page at any time; that removes the jar and every wish in it at once.

Your choices

Delete a wish jar from its page. To have your email or a message removed, or to ask what we hold about you, use the contact form and choose “My data”. We'll do it and confirm.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects what we do with your email, we'll tell the waitlist before it applies.
